ABOUT ME
“A Butterfly With the Heart of a Lion”
Veronika Adams grew up in Gaithersburg, MD and the San Francisco Bay Area. She was born to a mother who performs musical theater and opera, and a father who directs neuropathology research. She has one older sister who is a music therapist.
She is an intuitive, an explorer and an imaginator. Her first acting experience took place in the creek behind her childhood home where she re-created the mystical land of FernGully. Adams passion for music led her to the electric bass, and while in the Bay Area, she played in several bands including Fine By Me and Valerie Orth, with whom she toured throughout the U.S. for over 15 years. She also trained as a dancer (ballet and Martha Graham technique) for over 10 years.
An honor student in high school, Adams went on to graduate from University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Cognitive Science. She is also a licensed meditation teacher.
Establishing herself as an actress in New York City, Adams has studied with Sean Patrick Folster at The Folster Studio, Patsy Rodenburg at Michael Howard Studios, at T. Schreiber Studio, The Linklater Center, and Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop. Most recently, she starred as Victoria in Sisters, writer Sarah Nolen’s (The Americans) directorial debut, an exploration of two distant sisters who reconnect after the death of their mother, and the complicated choices they must make. Additionally, she modeled for fashion, art, and portrait photography in the Bay Area for five years.
Cinema is her nourishment, acting her fire, and collaboration her joy. “There is a moment where everything clicks, and life feels eternal and rich. To capture that moment on camera is pure magic.” Adams looks forward to working with other creatives, trouble-makers, and anyone who dares to step outside their comfort zone.
